Ghee Halwa with Gheevo Desi Ghee
Some cravings can only be answered by warm, aromatic ghee halwa.
This version uses Gheevo Desi Ghee to bring back that authentic, homemade taste.


🧈 You’ll Need

  • 1 cup suji (semolina)
  • ½ cup Gheevo Desi Ghee
  • ¾ – 1 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 2½ cups water or milk (or half-half)
  • 4–5 cardamom pods, crushed
  • Handful of chopped dry fruits (almonds, cashews, raisins)

👩🍳 Method

  1. Heat Gheevo Desi Ghee in a heavy-bottomed pan.
  2. Add semolina and roast on low-medium flame, stirring continuously until it turns golden and aromatic.
  3. In a separate pot, warm water/milk and dissolve sugar in it.
  4. Slowly pour the hot liquid into the roasted semolina while stirring to avoid lumps.
  5. Add crushed cardamom and cook till the mixture thickens and leaves the sides of the pan.
  6. Add dry fruits and a final spoon of Gheevo Desi Ghee for shine and richness.

🍽️ Serve It Like This

Serve hot in bowls, topped with a few extra nuts and a small drizzle of ghee if you like it extra indulgent.
