Everyday Khichdi with Gheevo A2 Bilona Cow Ghee
Khichdi is more than a dish – it’s comfort, healing and warmth in one bowl.
When topped with Gheevo A2 Bilona Cow Ghee, it becomes a complete, wholesome meal for the body and mind.
🧈 You’ll Need
- ½ cup rice
- ½ cup moong dal (split yellow or green)
- 1 small carrot, chopped
- ¼ cup peas (fresh or frozen)
- ½ tsp turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- 1–2 tbsp Gheevo A2 Bilona Cow Ghee (for cooking)
- Extra Gheevo for serving
- ½ tsp cumin seeds
- A pinch of asafoetida (hing)
- Optional: ginger, green chilli, coriander leaves
👩🍳 Method
- Rinse rice and dal together and soak for 15–20 minutes.
- In a pressure cooker or pot, heat 1–2 tbsp Gheevo A2 Bilona Cow Ghee.
- Add cumin seeds and hing; let them splutter.
- Add chopped vegetables, sauté for a minute.
- Add soaked rice & dal, turmeric and salt.
- Add 3–4 cups water depending on how thick or mushy you like your khichdi.
- Pressure cook for 2–3 whistles (or simmer in a pot till cooked and soft).
- Once done, lightly mash and adjust water/salt if needed.
🍽️ To Serve
Serve hot khichdi in bowls and finish each serving with 1–2 tsp Gheevo A2 Bilona Cow Ghee on top.
